We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday!
School is looking for parents that are interested and available to help volunteer at Lunch and Recess. The Lunch and Recess periods run from 11:20am to 1:15pm. Any time that you are able to volunteer would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact school if you are interested. Thank you.
The fundraising committee is attempting to put together a family, holiday craft night in December. This will be in place of the Secret Holiday Shop. As of now we are looking at either a Wednesday or Thursday before winter break from 6-7:30 pm.
Families would come and purchase tickets in exchange for an ornament craft to make and take that night. They would run from $2-3 each. Also available for purchase would be cocoa and cookies to eat while they are creating.
This event would take at least 10-12 volunteers to run each craft station and distribute food and drink. You would probably run your station the entire 1.5 hours if able. Please contact us and let us know you are interested and willing to help so that we can get approval on a date and get this moving.
We hope everyone has had a great two weeks of school. Let’s all celebrate the beginning of the new school year together this Friday from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at Lake Louise (in the playground area).
We will have a DJ, pizza pop, water, candy, popcorn, cold treats, games, face painting, temporary tattoos and more. Help the PTA raise some money for the new year by also paying $1 for a piece of duct tape – as we tape Mrs. Seoane to the wall. All money raised will go towards PTA programs and events for the 2015/2016 school year.
Our Back to School Picnic is a great event to meet other Lake Louise families, staff members, and to see all of our kids interact and have a great time together. We hope to see you there!
We hope to see you all at the Back to School Picnic this Friday at Lake Louise. While you are there – if you have 30 minutes to help out with face painting, selling drinks, making popcorn, etc we would appreciate it! If you are interested in helping out – you can sign up using the button below.
The PTA Community Closet provides District 15 families in need of assistance with monthly opportunities to shop for free, gently used clothing in all sizes—infant through adult—and for all seasons. Every year our school volunteers one night (2 hours) to help with our PTA Community Closet (Gray M. Sanborn School, 101 N. Oak Street, Palatine)
This year we need 2-3 Lake Louise volunteers to help Monday, October 5, 2015 from 6-8 PM. If you are interested – please contact us. Volunteers assist families as well as help organize items for the Community Closet
Families in need should contact their school’s social worker to sign up to receive a voucher to shop the Community Closet
It is that time of year again when we bring Junior Achievement to Lake Louise.
Junior Achievement is a one day program that has a goal to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
This year, we have four open classes that need volunteers for the day. If we could have four volunteers, it would really ensure that every class has Junior Achievement.
When: Tuesday, May 19, 2015
Grades/Classes in need of volunteers: Didier, Mallon (second); Coconate-Brown, Franz (fourth)
We now have JA training videos on Youtube that the volunteers can watch…
